The last of the midday addresses, in the city iin connection with the; Anglican General Mission took place!: yesterday.' They have been wonderfully well attended yesterday was no exception to the rule-. Tho ground floor of'tho Theatre Royal was filled with, women for the.gathering between \l2 and 1 '.o'clock, • and crowded to tie doors for that between. 1 and 2-o'clock. ■ These meetings have been addressed by the Rev. J. C. Fitz-, gerald, of Community of the Resurrection and Cknon'E:\A. Stuart. ; .Tho -addresses to men at the Town Hall Concert Qhamber during the present week have been given by Canon E. A. Stuart and Prebendary H. -.V/. There will be no procession to-night, and on Sunday the services will be at 7 8, and 11 a m , Holy Eucharist; 2 45, children's service, 3 45, service foi men only ,7pm, mission service. Monday will see the close of the mission, which will end with a great thanksgiving service

There wore more, communicants, more attended the afternoon' service, and. there .was a -good attendance 'Jatnight. : One. most, noticeable feature'in this mission is the. number and variety of the special.requests .for..prayer.' ./■ '■:.'■ In the afternoon, tho Kbv.G. 1 F. The preacher took as his text St. John x!j 18, '"No.man taketh my/life from me, but Hay. it down! of myself," arid! held the .'congregation's close 1 attention whilst he told with compelling, power arid persuasiveness the story of \'tho cross. ■ ' ■-.' Tho instruction which followed was on the. The evening congregations in Iroth clrurches are larger than over, and there' arc- very communicants at .the early''cole-' brazens. Numerous .subjects for inter-i cession are handed in. Yesterday was'
observed at All Saint's as a day of: the church never being without some praying:- silently !from 8 a.m.' to " 7 p.m.' At All Saint's the Missioner ! preached on "The Lovo of God." " He said it was unwise to brood over failure in the-, past, and-. advised? instead of : doing so. to trust in the powerof God's \ love to save, in. which was founded the ' whole system of ;the Sacraments—Bap- ■ tism, Confirmation, and Holy: Commun* ion—-and all, the: Church Ordinances.
