' ■ ATHLETIC CLUB.MEETING. • . The annual general meeting of. the Amateur Athletic Club in connection with tho Petone Junior Club was held in the club-rooms last evening. Mr. W. Fraser occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance. _ The 1 annual report ' and balance-sheet showed..a very successful year. Nine evening meetings had been held during . the: past season, and nominations for these were very .good. . The annual meeting, held-; on March 12 last year, proved very/;;successful, .there being over . 130 nominations. , . F. Strickland won the gold, medal presented by Mr. J. Martin .for tho highest aggregate at the evening meetings. ; ■ , ..,-.. ■-.. The ' financial statement, 'showed a credit balance of .£B'l3s. 2d. Assets over liabilities amounted to' Xl 2 ss. Bd. .. .
