Sydney, October 3, Tho procession in cslnbration of the eight-hour day was held to-day in perfect weather. Won by a length and a half. Time, 4min. 39sec. s Spears also won'the M'Gowan Handi-' oap, one mile, in 2min. llsec. Cutcliffo won the mile amateur championship of New South Wales in 2min. 21 3-55ec. (Rec. October 3, 10.25 p.m.) Sydnoy, October 3. The Eight Hour procossion took an hour to pass a given point. Many handsome banners and devices- were carried. It is estimated that a quarter of a million people 4in6d the route.
