HISTORY OF OUR CONTINGENTS
.. TO BE PUBLISHED WHEN? A question was asked of the Attorney* General in the Legislative Council; yes-: ; terday by the Hon. W. C: Smith, as to when the official history of the operations, qf the Now Zealand contingents, which served in the South African War, ,is to .be published. Mr. - Smith pointed out that tho members of the contingents and. their friends' were, naturally anxiohs to know ' when the history of tho operations of the contingents was to be published, and lie hoped the Government would get this done. We had suffered' in the past by not having had official accounts of the' Waikato and-other, wars. The Attorney-General said the work was in hand, and was being pushed! on, but. it was not yet completed, ■although it was in conrse of- revision.The question of publication would' be" considered' immediately , the work completed.
