To-day will conclude a fairly brisk week at.thd markets!; The -Manuka,: which arrived: from Sydney direct on Wednesday, brought 2300 ; cases of fruit, mostly : of the; citrous family.; The deck cargo arrived in good condition ; that carried below! hatches was bad. The prices realised were: Gin,cases of mandarins, Bs. to J.ls.; bushel cases,' 9s. 6d. to 12s. 6d.; oranges, 6s. to 10s.; lemons, 7s. to Bs.; passion fruit, 15s. to 205.; pinesj Bs. to 10s. 6d. Some 1800 cases of Tasmanian apples arrived by tho Moerakiiyesterday. Scarlet perr 'mains and stunners brought from 9s. to 10s. par case;; cookers, from 7s. to Bs. 6d. The 200t) cases ; of oranges from Cook Islands, par Nayua, arrived in a. very' bad condition, and only brought from 2s. to 7s. per case. The Mokoia, direct from Raro'tonga,'is due here on October 7. 1 .' y Rhubarb 'is - very plentiful. liie 1 range of price -has.been : from;4s. per dozen bundloi Other ;i vegetables, all very plentiful, Realised the following prices: Cabbages, from 2s. to 6s. sack; cauliflowers, from 'os. to 10s. sack; leeks, Is. : per dozen stalks; celery, -is.
