At the annual meeting of the Wanganui Criokot Association - last night, tha report showed that a fairly.satisfactory season had been experienced and that: there • was an improved position: finance ally, as, after struggling with a load; of debt for. several years, the association is now free of the burden, and starts tho season with a small balance in hand, viz,£3 Gs. 3d. Mr. J as. Watt was elected president, Mr. Q. F. Francis delegate to the New Zealand Cricket Council. , Jho eleotion of secretary ..and treasurer-was held over. The matter of .suggestions for ; rules governing the cup; presented by Lord Hawke to the second grade associations of New' Zealand, was referred to the Management Committee. to deal - with. The Garrison Band's bazaar, which haa been running for a week now, and which continues till; Saturday night, , has done extraordinarily goodbusiness, and is still doing well. 1 The band leaves for the Ballarat contest during the middle. of next week, and will; be accompanied by a fair number of friends/ Tenders are invited by the Wellington City Council for .the use of the Town Hall and Conoert Hall for the eveaiißg.
