Mouium crossbreds show an'advance of 7J porlcent.,'coarso... .crossbreds an advance of H per : cent.. , Merinos and fine crossbreds, a change, if any,'is in favour of sellers., The New Zealand Loan and. Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following; cablegram, from their, Lon-. don house, , under- date September i 27:— "London Wool ; Sales.—There was a good attendaace-at tho opening of the sales today, competition by Homo and Continental' buyers being active. . The opening catalogues were fairly representative. As compared with last; sales closing rates prices are higher about, par to. 5 per ccnt. for fine crossbred, about 5 per cent, to 7J;pe'r cent, 'for medium crossbred, and; about 7J per cent. ,to 10' per cent, for'coarse, crossbred. ';Merino'- is firm, - with an upward tendency.''Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., have received ; the following cablegram from Loudon, - under yesterday's date:— "The sales have- opened with' strong competition from a large attendance of buy-, ers. ■As compared with closing rates of ,last series, fine crossbred asl merinos unchanged, medium , and ..coarse crossbred 7i per cent., up. ' y Messrs. Levin and Co. have received the following cablegram from Londoa:—"At the wool sales, merinos and fine crossbrcds opened at an advance of 5 per cent: on the closing rates, of last series. Coarse crossbreds opened at an advance of 7} per cont-. on the closing 'price of last "series. There; is a large attendance of buyers;" ; Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd.,have, received. the . following cablegram. (dated September 27J, from their London friends, 'Messrs: Sanderson, Mnrrny and Co., with reference to: the opening of tho fifth scries of wool, sales:—"The salesha,ve. opened with a good .attendance of buyers ajid good competition. ' Merino and lino crossbred wools show no material change in prices. Medium to coarse greasy crossbred has advanced 7i per cent., and sliped crossbred shows an advance of from par to 5 per cent." -Tho United Farmer,"!' Co-operative Association,, Ltd.. have received the following cablegram from their - London agents, under late. September 27:—"The., fifth series of wool sales.: which op.oned to-day. wore well attended arid '.competition was animated. Fine- crossbreds .show no quotable change. Medium- and coarse crossbreds •7i per cent, higher as compared with closing rates of previous sale."
