Admiral Beresiord remarks that—reckoning .Dreadnoughts alonir-the position under existing 'arrangements three years hence will' be that our superiority over tiermany will be reduced to four;' ships. - We'will 'then be exactly equal to Uermany and Austria combined, and interior by. lour to the Triple Alliance. ■ The Admiral argues ■ that ' Within , three years it will be hardly, possible to'maintain supremacy in Home waters, over one foreign Power owing; to the inexorable demand from the : Mediterranean, due. to the strength, there of two members of the Triple Alliance.
