STATEMENT BY DR. FINDLAY. ■ : A brief explanation of tho provisions of the Inalienable Life Annuities Bill was given by the Attorney-General in .the Legislative Council yesterdav. Dr. Findlay remarked that the Bill would be distributed'next day. To him it was one of exceedingly' great importance.- It. attempted to - provide means; thereby . the poorer professional - and working- people mights erect for themselves an inalienable annuity. The Bill ; would provide particu-larly-for daughters 'or children who-had & r mental or a physical failing of - some, unfortunate kind. -As the law stood today this could not-- be done. Providing the Bill was passed a father would be able to make provision of the kind referred to without the possibility of the annuity being' alienated, in-, bankruptcy, by a. husband or in: any other way.
