SECOND NATIONAL CONVENTION.; The Second National Convention of the Y.M.C.A. will he held. m Wellington, commencing next Friday. : Delegates from all parts of New Zealand and Australia ■■will he present. Visitors from Australia .will he Mr. J. J. Virgo (general secretary; of the Sydney Association and National Secretary for Australasia),. and Mr. A. .Jameson, Who has been, for two years,' secretary of the ,• Perth,: Y.M.C.A., and who was connected withY.M.C.A. -workin the United .States of .America.. Mt., Virgo will arrive on Wednesday by the Sydney boat; andwill go immediately. to Masterton to conduct:-.a', meeting- there that night, returning to AVelliugton on Thursday. The. conference will discuss all _ phases in relation to YJI.C.A. activities. The ■ unique'- feature will be the inauguration of the foreign work policy. The associations of Australia and New 'Zealand hre uniting in the support of "a secretary to work amongst the- students in the toiyn of Hyderabad, India. The Kev. Harry Lang has been appointed. •He has been .relieving for the, Eev. John M'Kenzie'in Christchurch, and he will be present at the ; Wellington. convention. There will bo a welcome banquet tendered by Mr. J. G. W. Aitken on Friday next. A great missionary meeting will- be. hold on Monday night,. October 3. The gatheringivill.be an important.one, so far as-the'-policy of the association is concerned, and,it.is the;first that has been •held in the.Dominion. . . '
