' WELLINGTON- NORTH CLUB. The annual meeting of the Wellington 'North District Criokot Club was held in the - Occidental -Hotel' last evening, Mr. M. P. -Luckio presiding over a gathering of fifteen mombers. . In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, a precis of. which has beea- published, the chairman remarked that tuo overdraft at tlio bank was,.only the, natural result of the expense of the first year's operations of tho club. Considering its limited membership, the club's first eleven, did fairly well, and the same'remark applied to the second eleven, but tho third eleven did not do so well. One of the difficulties of the past season had been the inability of the club to, have practice wickets -prepared on Kel-' burne Park. This trouble would not bo felt this year, as, by tho third week in October, good practice wickets would bo available on the abbvo park. Altogether the prospects for the coming season were encouraging, although .young players were much needed. With, improved practico wickets, etc., he thought these would be forthcoming.
