His .only-injuries: were scratches and bruises.: ■ A few days ago Captain Klaus Larson, in a motor . boat, went from the foot of •Niagara Cataract through the whirlpool and the rapids for 4J miles to Leadston. ' Except for a voyage made-by the Maid of the Mist, in 1864, Captain; Larfcen's craft is the only vessel which has accomplished the'feat. The authorities threatened to prohibit the voyage on the ground that it would be attempted suicide. '
