LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
WELLINGTON BRANCH. A meeting of the Wellington branch 4 I of the Royal Life-saving Society was 1 held last night at the Y.M.C.A., Mn G. S. Hill presiding. Intimation was received from Drs. I Anderson and Hislop that they would bo pleased to join, the branch. , - A letter was received from the New , Zealand Amatour Swimming tion to the effect that the 1 branch should not in any way be' connected with the Wellington Centre tof< - the N.Z.A.S.A. and that all funds held by the centre for the purposes of life-sav-ing should bo handed over to the branch. The letter further advised that the matter of affiliating with -the Royal Life-saving Society be held, over. till after the visit of Mr. Win'.' Henry. It was decided to invite the various swimming clubs to form classes and forward the names of those desirous of sitting for examination when Mi» Henry arrives.
