Her. first exhibit was a set of paintings of native flowers,, at an exhibition in'Nolsou, arid also.', in' Hokitika,.- and.-' on each occasion she gained a silver medal. In 1879.'5h0 forwarded a number of. paintings to tho Intercolonial- Exhibition- in Sydney,. and received, a first award and modal. - The following year, she received a first-award : and medal at Melbourne, and at the AngloColonial.
