Tenders have been accepted by the City: Council:., as follows ;—Boosters, switch-panel, and recording instruments, Greenshiells and Co.; overhead material and feeders, Greenshiells and Co.; hardwood tramway sleepers for ' Wadcstown tramway, Millar's West Australian Hardwood Co.; material for Wadestown tramway, John Duthie and Co.; transformers, P. E. Bailley and Co.; irohbark poles, S. Brown, Ltd. A comprehensive and uniform series of life-saving regulations .will probably be enforced shortly on the beaches in tho neighbourhood of Wellington. . The Mayor told the. council'.last evening that a copy of the life-saving regultaions observed' in New South Wales had been obtained, with a view to their local application.. , ■
