(From Our Social Correspondents.J CARTERTON. There passed away on Monday morn ing a well-known pioneer of the townMr. William Parker, aged 91 years. The late Mr. Parker was one of the few remaining early settlers of Carterton, and was, at one time, associated with various public bodies. The funeral takes place to-day. The local Territorials, will parade here on the evening of Dominion Day. ,I'he Brass Band and School Cadets will also take part. r: On Wednesday evening next the.honorary members, of the local Territorial company will meet the active members in 'a Morris-tube match.
