TO BE FIRED TO-DAY. -Firing; in the Etapire,Postal Match of 1910 will'take place, at the -local centres, of the competing team's to-day. The 'competition' is an annual fixture, last year's match being fired on 'September '29, when , teams were' entered by London and six oversea: centres; the results being. as follow■ Transvaal," 920; New South Wales, 914; Natal, 904 Victoria, 904; Cape Colony;; 895; New Zealand, 888;' Loi idon, 868.' .; ■ . .. ■ • ' • The 'following have been selected to represent Wellington, and will fir© at Polhill Gully Range, shooting to commence at 2 p.m. sharp:— ' S. J. Bolton, W.; Gilbert. J. M'Lachlan,' V. Moore, G. B. Williamson,-'S. C. Spencer, H. A. Hamilton, C. Davidson. W. R. Wakelin, and — Shannon.' Condition: "Team of 10 men; 7 shotit and 2 compulsory, "sighters" at 200, 500, and 600 yards. • The results obtained by individual teams are cabled to Melbourne, acts' as the distributing office for .the publication of the aggregate results. Wellington's-fickle climate has been a sore handicap to the local marksmen in previous "shoots," and the last proph-, esy. of the Government meteorologist is the reverse of promising. '
