.THEATRE ROYAL. A- vaudeville performance of all-round morit was appreciatively received by a large audience at the Theatre Koyal on Saturday evening. The star of the moment is Nat Clifford, a comedian with a splendid ; mastery of his art. As a genoral thing he is irresistibly funny, but like all true humourists ho knows how to introduce pathos at/ times with a fine effect of contrast. Merry or sad, ho retains an Unfailing grip on his audience, and.meets applause at every turn. His announcement .on-Saturday evening that he had entered, into an eight months' contract with the Theatre Royal proprietary was received with cheers. For this evening a complete change of programme is announced. ; / KING'S- THEATRE. .At. the King's Theatre 'this week a .programme of unexceptionable merit is on view, and on Saturday evening, as on previous ocoasions, it proved a potent draw. In every ; particular the selection of pictures is good, but the palm of superiority may be given perhaps to the fine .scenic films which it includes. That depicting scenes in Cochin China is.rich in quaint and interesting .features. Anoth&r beautiful travel picture is that devoted to scenes in and around Freiburg • inthosouth of Germany.! The programme will.be repeated this evening. ' . HIS MAJESTY'S. .: His Majesty's, on Saturday evening it-. tracted' an audience that. filled ~ every available seat.; .Among the wealth of scenes that .passed; in quick succession across . the screen . were many ,of great beauty, and not a few,of strong.dramatic appeal.■■■-. Pictures of the. comic variety were> also .-well represented.. One of the best dramatic.studies.is that entitled-an "Indian.Girl's Romance."
