'.'- Further celebration of: hho' second, anniversary of the Brooklyn" Methodist' Sunday ttiok' place on Tuesday evening last, When the annual tea and public meeting was- held. The best of ;,the hymns were repeated ,by the' scholars under -the- conr ductorship of Mr. O/Wilton.--An address was given by the .Rev; 'S. J. Serpell, and ■ Mr.' W. G. Howe presented the-prizeswon. during the year.' Two : gold. medals pre-, sented by Mr. W. Coventry were won by Alice Ward and George Ward for .the highest marks in 'the /girls'- and boys' divisions respectively./ .The annual report read by the secretary-. (Mr. T. Coventry) showed considerable development, in the school work during the _ year. -/Ah infant department had been /inaugurated last November, and now hada roll of 02.. A cradle roll, begun in March, had a membership of 31, and/ a'combined -senior Bible class/had been formed. A "favour"able financial statement was. read by .the treasurer (Miss Dbncy); Votes-of thank's were passed to-the friends who by donations and in other ways had'helped, the. school.
