The full, foreign membership -.stands- at 119,125 with-20,237 on trial, acul-more than 10,50.0 adult catechumens; under instruction for baptism! The largest numerical growth was in West AErica, . where '.the three districts reported ; a net addition of 1102- -full, mombersi;; but the most' notable increase was in •the Hunan district, of Chinai where'l the full membership has'risen from 233 to 300, an.increase.of over 67 per cen.t. - The financial returns were not assotisfactory, tho deficiency on the year being £3,784, the most' ; 'serious 1 item in'the falling-off being the'returns from pnblio, collections, which; in two; years declined by. over; £3530. The-dis-trict which- showed, the', higfiest increase in contributions; was Halifax aijd Bradford with an advance of over £853, Hull .ooming second with £223. The highoi.t average per member is found in tho Liverpool district, with 7s. 10Jd., while Manchester with 7s. od. is not far bohind.
