If time permits, Dr. : Findlay will visit .Tokanui in connection with, the proposed Prison'' Reformatory Farm scheme.
Mr. Justico Edwards will proceed to Wanganui on Monday,' returning . to Wellington for the sitting of the Court of Appeal on October 3. 4
Before ■ leaving for Sydney, Mr. L. Rose Jaggar, late general'manager for the Atlas Insurance Company in New Zealand, who is severing his connection with that company was presented by the New Zealand attorneys of the company with a,'silver tea and coffee service, and a handsomely chased silver salver. The presentation was made by Mr. T. W. Pilche'r, who expressed regret at Mr. Jaggar's departure from the Dominion. The'. Fire. Underwriters' Association entertained, Mr. Jaggar, .and presented him with a' gold sovereign case. Mr. and Mrs. Jaggar and family left for Sydney'by tho Manuka yesterday. ■ -.

The Right Rev. Dr. Cleary, new Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, writing to a friend in the; northern city, stated that it was his'intention to leave for Auckland, almost immediately after his consecration at Enniscorty Oathed-. ral, County Wexford, Ireland. The consecration took place on August 21, bo news of tho Bishop's departure may be rocoived at any time now.
Mr. tj. S. Clarke, of the Supreme Court staff, Auckland, lias arrived in Wellington, where ho relieves Mr.- R. M. Goldsmau, who proceeds to Auckland.
Mr. Lawrence Birks, Government En-giueer-in-Chargo at Rotorua, is on holiday leavo in AVellington.
