MANAWATU SOCIETY'S SHOW. : (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmerston N,, September 14. The bulb show of tho Manawatu Horticultural Society was opened: to-day by the president (Mr. J. A. Nash). Thodispliy of blooms is : the .best which the society has yet presented for this time of the year;. Ono feature of the show is tho display made by Mr. W. Strang, which occupies the whole of the stage. Mr. J. Coring Johnston has also a fine collection of blooms on exhibit., The secretary (Mr. H. L.
