Melbourne, Soptembor 14. : Tho Federal Senate adjourned the debate on an amendment by Senator Giveus to reduce tho vote towards the Federal Capital by a pound. This is an attempt to throw out the Yass-Canl>erra site in favour of another. It is expected the voting will; bo very close. In the House of Beprcseutatives a Bill has been introduced by Mr. Bamford providing, for the division of the Commonwealth into sixteen provinces, each province to return three senators and six members of tho Lower House. In place of the.State Parliaments, it is proposed to establish provincial councils, with smaller powers. " Federal Ministers deny persistant rumours of dissensions in tho Cabinet. QUEENSLAND RAILWAYS. " Brisbane, September 14. The railway revenue for. tlie year ended June 30 totalled an increase of ,£235,349, the percentage of revenue upon the capital expended being £Z 15s. lid.—a shilling more.than for the previous year.■'• .
