Webb, ex-champion ,of the wrld, says the 'TfefereV', TheWanganui committee to offer a purse of ,£2OO the same to be deposited a month before the raco; the race to be rowed over the championship .course, 3J miles, on the Wanganui River, on a date agreeable to both parties; the, referee and judge to be 'mutuallr agreed upon ,v and the race to be under "World Championship Sculling ■ Articles are to be prepared in'. Sydney, directly a data is , agreed .upon. _-; Mr. Young (representing the'Wanganui committee) intimated that ho believed that December 26 would suit the Wanganui people best, and Harry Pearce stated that that dote would suit him nicely.. ■■ ■ In the way of a suggestion as to : officials, Mr. Young mentioned the names of the officials who ; acted at-the World's Sculling Championship between Arnst and Mr. Cecil'Wray as referee, and Mr. .T. D. Cummins as judge. The Wanganui Committee of Management have requested Mr. Coombes_ to aot os their representative in Sydney• m connection with the match, ;•
