Presently\the licensee came alrtn" and ; secured the but M'D'owell was still very-indignant, and ho.-threatened to v. report .Mr. .Uernam to tho Licensing, Committee and .the Inspector of Police. ; He was arrested and charged with theft, and with.having used threatening language. , : : After hearing tho evidence, tho Mag-, istrate refused to find that the appropriation;: of.- the ■ bottles ..of.■...cordial amounted to theft,.but belaid that M'Dowell's conduct was not proper, and that he had not followed, the .right course to rocovor his lost money. Both charges wero dismissed. ■'
