Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having .held a very successful sale 'at their Upper liutt yards this ' week. A largo number of young cattle came firward, and competition for same was vci-y keen. Practically the wholo yarding was disposed of under the hammer, tho following prices being realised :-iSpringing cows, £5 2s. 6d.; light fat cows, £4.105.; threeyear, bullocks, £6 3s. 6d.; two-year steers, £4 7s. 6d. to £4 135.; backward eighteenmonth steers, £2 155.; yearling steers, £2 ss. 6d. to £2 7s. 6d.; mixed weaners, £1 15s. %"' , BOWS in P'S. *2; slips, 10s.; trap mare, £6;: buggy, £B.' (Feilding branch), report for the week ended September 10 as follows:—At Mr., Gaynor's clearing sale of dairy stock ;at Aorangi. on Wednesday, More was' a large, attendance of buyers, and cows, realised good prices, tho highest price being £13 12s. 6d. Implements, furniture,, and-sundries also sold well. At t'ending, on Friday, very few slicep came forward; but we had a medium entry- of cattle.
