MB. OSBORNE COMPLAINS. By TeleeraDn—Frees Association—Coityrigliv. (Rec. September 7,. 0.15 a.m.).!. London, September 6. Mr. W. V. Osborne, of Walthamstow, who brought the action against the Amalgamated Society of Eailway Servants in which the House of Lords' decided'that a trades union could not make oompulsory levies for political purposes,' has written a letter to tho newspapers. He says that the action of th© Society of Railway Servants in expelling him and closing the. Walthamstow : Branch amounts to a declaration that the members have no l legal claim to security and benefits. . . The Socialists, he declares, have jockeyed themselves into a majority of the official positions, and are now able to con-' fiscato their ■ opponents' contributions for years. Trade unions must bo legalised giving the same security to their members as the friendly societies enjoy.
