Brisbane, September 3. • Among the passengers by the Makura from Vancouver were a number of ; the crew of, the wrecked bar'quelitino Helga, which was lost off .Honolulu.'in August. They are on their way .to Sydney. The Helga was attempting to enter Honolulu to effect repairs to the boiler of the , steam pump, which had been" in constant use, owing to the leaky condition of the vessel.
,The three-jiiasted barqu'sntine Helga,. ownetl by the Narrabeen Steam Ship Company, ,!went /ashore near Honolulu, and according-to-.latest information was likely to become a total loss.' She had been sighted 'in a leaking condition trying to, make Honolulu. At the time the Helga was on a voyage to San Francisco and Eureka with 1810 tons of Hebburn coal from Newcastle. She was loaded by the A.A. Company, and left port on April 10 last.
