The Exhibitions,, Bill, and tho Phosphorus Matches Bill, were read a second time, and tho Indecent Publications Bill and the Companies Amendment Bill were passed through their Committeo stages. The House was'occupied yesterday afternoon chiefly in considering reports of committees on petitions. ' One of , these petitions had referenco to a claim by' certain boardinghouse-keepers that they should have co-equal rights with ' hotelkeepers in regard to the luggago of defaulting boarders. N ln the ordinary ' course of i events, it might have been expected that the Estimates would be brought down in tho evening. The Gov ; ernmont, however,' preferred to go on with its measures.
