■ (Specially written for The Dominion.) FRIDAY. ..; Lentil soup; Whitebait fritters. Mashed potatoes. Treacle pudding. Sweet molted butter. WHITEBAIT '.FRITTERS. Half-pint of whitebait, 1 dessertspoonful of ilour, mixed smoothly, with 2 dessertspoonfuls of milk, 1 egg well hen ton; add popper 'and salt to taste. Wash tb<> whitebait, dry it in a:cloth, aud add it to the batter just before frying. Fry in spoonfuls in a frying pan. One dessertspoonfulof the mixture makes a nicesized -fritter.. Cook one side, then turn and brown on the other; drain oh paper and serve at once. Garnish with parsley. :■ / FOR TO-MORROW. One 'neck of mutton. ' Curry powder. ■..Leeks.
