■ANNUAL; SMOKE CONCEET. / ./The' annual smoke'concert and distribution of prizes of :■ th<> To Arb Sailing Club was held' in Scott's rooms, Manners Street last. evening. ". There was a large attendance of members and friends. Mr. George .Winder, .president,- was in tie chair, and among those present were Mr. Browne,'- commodore of- the Heretai^nga , Boating ' Club, and Mr. M'Donald, the secretary. .During the. evening several toasts were honoured. These included "Yachting," responded to bjj'Mr. -Ward; "Kindred Clubs," proposed by Mr. C. Watt, and responded to.by Mr." P. Coote; "Heretaunga - Club," replied to ■. by, Mr. ■Br&wne;' "The Tliorndon Dingy Club," responded to by Mr. A. Rowell; \"The President," proposed by Mr., S. M'Williams; ."The Ladies," "The Press," and "Donors of .Trophies." Tho musical, part, of the programme was well catered for, items being contributed by. the following:—Messrs. Beuge, M. Hamel, .Crockett, S. M'Williams, Ward, and Mr. H. Barrott presided at the piano. .' ■ The Winder Ctip, presented by Mr. George Winder to the club, was awarded to Redwing, and the Inter-club Challenge Cup was presented to the Na,n.. The. , other trophies were presented to the' winners, as follow.: —Messrs. Barnard and 1 Ward'e trophy, won by Eival; Mr. S. M'William's trophv, won by Rambler; Mr, F. Cooke's. trophy, won by Ishmael; Mr'.. C. Watt's trophy, won by Lotus; Mr. Rankin's trophy, by Redwing; Mr. Lippitt's • trophy, won by Redwing; Mr. C. Smith's trophy, won by Nan; Messrs. Barrett and Highett's trophy,, won by Ishmael; Mr. H. O'Neill's trophy, s wbn by Dorecn; Mr.-D. Higgie's trophy, won by Eambler; Mr. T. Eae's trophy, won by Redwing; Mr. C. .Ward's,trophy, won by Redwing;' Mr. L. M'Gregor's trophy, won by Ramblor; Mr,.-T.
