.. Tho Missions I'd Seamen , Institute' was crowded last evening,: when Mi. and Mrsi David Nathan' provided an enjoyable entertainment. ■ Mr-. ■ J. ;. Moore , (the Missioner) occupied the chair.:'The'following contributed items. to ithe . programme :—M-issos Beauchamp and Jones', 1 Messrs. Jacobs, Hyains, and-. Cum'inings; Miss' Jones acted as accompanist.. Soveral choruses wero sung'in good styleby. the audience, and an amusing conundrum competition .was held.and won by sailors from, ships in port.' The -Missionor delivered a short, temperance address, re-" sulting : in several men takingYthe pledge. 'Hearty cheers.were given: : to the performers,; Mrs. Nathan'responding, and light , refreshments were dispensed.- ! '■:.
