' . ! : Speaking, at a gathering of "\Y aim ato Plains farmers recently, a well-known South. Turauaki farmer declared that a breed of the future would bo tho "Taranaki" cattle. . - In other parts of Taranaki experiments have been made with an, Ayrshire-Jersey cross. Some of the progeny from this cross-breeding. are now in milk, and aro reported to : liave turned out satisfactorily,. A Ivivitea farmer says that he has crossed : Holsteins and Jerseys, 'and is pleased, with the result. He is satisfied with the milk yield, and : considers that his cattle are hardy. -
