WORKERS' COMPENSATION ACTDOCTORS' FEES.
Sir,—lt is gratifying to find that the Government at' last realise that doctors arc'unfairly treated by the Workers Act, inasmuch as there is no machinery, bj' which their fees can be collected, except through tlifl ordinary channels. Now that- the. Government are bringing in-a Bill by which the employers .will be compelled to pay medical tees for all accident claims, it will place the profession on a proper looting, in this respect.. Up till now, : where an injured mail states he is in' straitened . circumstances,. smaller fees were charged, but the proposed amendment will allow' the full fees to be collected, with the power of the law hehind it, without any unnecessary delay. The Billywill have auother beneficial effect. Instead of crowding work on to tlio hospital staff, the injured men cau havo the comfort of being attended to by a doctor at their' own. homes.—l am, etc., ESCUI.APU.W . • ;r
