Bishoj, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court -yesterday. to a solicitor when.'dealing "with' a ciaim against a husband whose \Wfe had run up a large drapery bill without his consent. "I'm a married man and I know, what are-neces-saries,", he : added., Addressing the'plainthe magistrate said/ ho did not tlunk; two silk scarves were necessaries. "Neither is a rag. doll," commented the" solicitor, instancing an item in the-account.. In reply'to the magistrate'; the defendant said be. would not object to provide his; children with a rag doll if he thought they wanted it. "Of course, you wouldn't;" remarked his Worship.;?.. The matter was'finally left to the inagistrate . to decide what he consideredwe're necessaries.
