THE CALVE CONCERT.
BOX PLANS OPEN THIS MORNING. ' it 10 o'clock this morning, the box plans will be onen for the concert to be given next Saturday evening in the Town Hall by Madame Calve-and-her .concert, party, and there seems ■ every likelihood that there will be a heavy demand for seats, judging from ■the-widespread interest that has been aroused in , anticipation of a' musical treat of the highest order. Although her appearances in Australia were confined to the concert platform (as they will be here), .Madame Calve's performances havo been in every way remarkable. The great diva will be heard on Saturday in an especially attractive, programme, which has been compiled so as to include the brightest gems in her extensive repertoire. This has been done at madame's express de-. sire, as only one concert can be arranged, and sho is anxious to appear at her best. The season in Auckland, which terminates this evening, has so far proved brilliantly successful, and great enthusiasm has been aroused, especially in the dramatic duets in whhich" Calvo and Signor Gasparri are associated. SI. Pintel, the pianfsti has also been singled out for the warmest praise. Applications from country residents are pouring into the box office. These aro being filed, and. seats will bo allotted them in strict rotation,
