There was a good attendance of buyers, and, with the exception of one pen of hoggets, wo cleared all. tho sheep and .• the majority of the cattle, prices for.-hoggets showing an advaneo on last sale's Quotations. Woolly mixed-sex hoggets sold.at 13a. 3d.; shorn, mixed, small to medium, 9s. 4d. to 10s. 9d.; cull CWC3 in lamb, 6s. Id.'; springing cows, £s'to £6 10s.; cows-hi calf, £3 17s. 6d.; cows in milk, £3 165.; cows with calves, £4145. ; store cows, £2 15s. to £3 3s. Messrs. Ernest Leighton reports that, at his stock sale held in the Butt yards on Wednesday, springing heifers sold at £5 2s. 6d. per head. Horses were in better demand, and realised the following prices: £14, £11, others from £7 to.£s. Weaning pigs, Bs. 6d. Poultry was keenly competed for.
