The guard of honour presented arms as the party slowly passed, and the passengers of the Turakina; .with whom Lady Islingon was most popular, gave ■ three ringing cheers from the deck, above,.. Her Excellency carried a beautiful bouquet, presented to her by the schoolgirls, upon whom, she looked smilingly in recognition. She also asked that they might be,given a holiday, which request was acceded to.

At the call of the Prime Minister, cheers were given for Lady Islington anil the Hon. Joan Dickson-Poynder. The party walked to the ■ wharf, gates, and there took carriage for the new; vice-regal house- at Mount View. ''
