A CAMPAIGN HANDBOOK. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright New York, August 24. ' President Taft has issued a Republican campaign handbook, in which he favours revision of separate schedules of the tariff upon the basis of the Tariff Commission's estimates of the cost of production at Homo and abroad. The American producers' extortions will, it is stated, bo no longer tolerated.
CLEAN-CUT ISSUES. New York, August 25. Mr. Roosevelt declares that he is very much pleased at Mr. Taft's statement about Now York politics. Mr. Roosevelt adds: "I am ready to attend the Convention. Tho issues are absolutely clean cut, and, so far as I am concerned, there will not bo a particle of compromise." ' '
