Wanganui, August 24. .The Wanganui waterside,workers aro very pleased at the action of the Now Zealand Waterside Workors'_ Conferencein adopting their remit, wliioh was designed to discourage the practico of some unions in "poacliing on. the lireserves" of otliors. For somo years largo steamers, loading in Wanganui roadstead, have frequently been loaded by Wellington men brought hero for tho purpose, and local kmpors bavo felt aggrioved at being''deprived of work which they consider, should bo given to them. They now expect to see. 1 this long-standing grievance remedied.
