The Carcass Butchers' Association iaa ' discussed the. slaughtermen's trouble. Two gentlemen, acting as mediators,, submitted their case, but after discussion it was decided not to accept the terms proposed,'': and to await the . 'decision of : the "Wages Board. ■ . . It was stated that a number of tie strikers'were going to New Zealand. The' State Industrial Court lias' refused the application of Mr. White, secretary of;the Meat Packing Employees' Union, for leave to prosecute the indoor manager of the /Sydney Meat Preserving Company ' for an alleged breach of the Act in dismissing an applicant without reasonable cause. The Court decided that a primafacie'case,,had not ieen established.
