CIVIL BUSINESS. (Before Mr. W. R. Hasclden, S.M.) CLAIM FOR COMMISSION: Herbert James Baker, land agent, of Wellington, sued Aimiti Uledhill, of Wellington, for the'sum of £65. Mr. A.. Pair appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. 0. R. lieere was for defendant. Plaintiffs statement of claim „ was to th« effect that on .December 10, 1909, there- became due and payable to Luko M'Gann by tlio defendant tlie sum of £65, ior commission on an exchange arranged; that on May 27, 1910, Luko M'Gann assigned 'the said sum to Wliiam Aubrey; that subsequently Win. Aubrey assigned the said sum of £65 «i plaintiff, and that defendant or her stgeiit has had notice of siich assignment-; the defendant relused plaintiff's demand for £65, and pla-intitf tliereforo asked for judgment. Mr. AV. Gγ. Somerville, solicitor, of Dannevirke, and brother of defendant, was tlio first witness called. After his cvidenco had been tnUen tin; case was adjourned uiitil September 6.
