THE BEST DAIRY CATTLE.
COMMISSIONER'S OPINION. In bis address at Kaupokonui, Mr. Cuddio said it was an understood thing that 'there were certain dairy breeds of which some favoured one breed and'some another, but it depended largely upon the' farmer as to what' success was experienced. Tho dairy division could not take up a stand and recommend ono breed against another, neither Holstein, Jersey,"' or Ayrshire, as the success met vrith upon the treatment tho animals got. One man would succeed with Jerseys better than another. ■'.' But it would be found that there would be strong, arguments'brought forward by supporters of any dairy breed along their particular lines. The:chairman (Mr; J.. Borrie) said they were going to have a Taranaki breed. There was as good cows in the district as anywhere else.' If an association was formed, the Taranaki breed would come out well.
