FIRE.

OUTBREAK IN THE CITY. At 6.18 o'clock last night the Fire Brigade received a call to a three-story brick building at the corner of Blair and Victoria Streets. The building is owned by Messrs. Luke and Co.-, and an outbreak of fire had occurred in the top floor, which is occupied by Messrs. Clarke and Co., Ltd., as electroplates. :The 'brigade- managed to suppress the flames before-any serious' damage had resulted. The cause of the fire'is unknown, but it evidently originated among: some .bas-ket-ware and then spread to the .partition wall and ceiling. Particulars of insurances were not available last, night.
