Shore," in all of ./which ,'the infectious humour of the comedian tickled tho risibilities of tlie audience immensely. STAR: PICTURES.. -; .' The pictures which are being.exhibited at St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown,',, this week include ono illustrating the launching of the torpedo destroyer. Yarra, the first of .the fleet to be built for the Commonwealth Government, and therefore of Imperial interest. The prograhime generally is'well up to the high standard set by the management. .'; THE; "ALADDIN" PANTOMIME. .' ■ .The overland tour of J. ,C. Williamson's pantomime "Aladdin" is turning out a decided success. Tho booking in each town to be visited is very large. Some of the features in this great production are: The : Human' Electric '.Flog, -the realistic' Fire Ballet, tho marvellous Balloon Effect, the beautiful Bird Ballet, Through the. Nether Regions,, the great Demon'lncantation Scene, and the resplendent March of the 'Flowers. The company includes Messrs.'Harry Phydora, of "Mother Goose" renown; J. M. Campbell, who made, himself so popular last year in "Jack arid Jill"; Victor'Loydall, Rupert Darrcll, Clyde Cook, Bert Wat-, son, Edward Sutton; also Misses Marie Eaton, Eve Moore (sister of Miss' Carrie Moore), Winnie Harbour, Stella Selbourne, Nance Maker, and Lena Ericson. Tho Wellington season opens on Friday evening, September 2, the box plans for which 'will be opened at tho Dresden on Monday morning.
