WELLINGTON SHAREJU.RKET. There was another break in Ross Goldfields shares yesterday. Towards the end of last week mainly oh Auckland's support the-quotation steadily advanced from 4s. 4d. to ss. 9d;, but yesterday the prices steadily declined, and-the closing sale-was : 3s. 3d. •••'BOSS GOLDFIELDS. - :' AN AUCKLAND PROPOSAL.. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ... Auckland, August 22. • Mr. Grcenslade,- secretary'• of • the . local committee of shdxehdlders of the Ross Goldmining Company, telegraphed the chairman of directors as follows:—"Meeting shareholders here strongly protests against tho issue of preferential shares, and suggests reconstruction with capital or £(10,000 in 160,000 shares of ten shillings each, and tho issue of 140,000 to present shareholders paid up to 7s: 6d. This would provide £17.500 additional capital. If it is considered further capital is required, tho liability could be increased 3s. or 4s. We strongly urge .the adjournment of tho meeting and the reopening of books to enable recent -purchasers to get on the register, and vote at the adjourned meeting." The following reply has been received: —"Quite in accord your proposal. Will submit same to meeting Thursday for approval. If agreed to will bo carried out." ' Ross shares dropped to 3s.'3d. at this morning call, after which there were transactions' at 3s. 9d.
