An arrangement has been made by which Parr's Bank will absorb tlie Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank, which lias a subscribed capital of .£1,725,000, and a paid-up capital of ,£8G2,G60. Parr's Bank will increase its • capital from the present figure of ,£8,512,500 to ,£16,000,000, and three of the directors of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank will join l its board.
