GALE AT LAUNCESTON.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE. 1 . By Telegraph—Press Association—CnpyrisM. Launceston, August 22. A terrific gale was experienced here 'on Saturday last. Trees were uprooted and fences blown down. The windows in several houses were blown in.. A landslip occurred on the railway lint between Evandalo Junction and Breadalbane.. Traffic is dislocated, and it is expected that it will take till Wednesday to effect repairs.
