AN UNEXPECTED EXPLOSION.
AN OLD CHARGE FIRED. By Telegraph- Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, August 20. An extraordinary explosion occurred near Newcastle. Two labourers' were working on the railway, when one struck a pick in the ground. A violent explosion followed, and both men were hurled into tho air and seriously injured. It is believed an unexplodcd blasting, charge had been left in the snot.
