The death occurred in Geelong, Victoria, recently of the Rev. J. C. Baird, at the advanced age of seventy-six years. Mr. Baird was ordained to tho Presbyterian Church in 1858, and after spending several years in Aclclaido, ! Fiji, and parts of Victoria as a missionary, went to Geelong in the early GO'S as pastor of St. Andrew's 'Church, where lie worked for thirty-six years. About two years ago he retired' from aetivo- work and lived quietly in Geelong.
